Create your own stained glass piece
Stained glass workshops that bring colour and joy into your life. You go home being able to say: 'I made it myself!'
About the workshops
During the Stained Glass for Beginners Workshop, you’ll learn how to make your own stained glass creation from start to finish. You’ll choose the glass and colours, cut them out, grind, copper foil and solder.
No worries if those words sound foreign to you now, at the end of the workshop, the stained glass process won’t have any secrets for you.
On top of that, you will go home with your own stained glass creation!
Step 1
Choose & cut your glass
The workshop starts with a quick introduction into cutting glass. Once everyone gets the hang of it, it’s selection time! Pick out the colours and textures you want to work with and cut out the pieces for your stained glass creation.
step 2
Grinding
After cutting the glass, we use a grinder to make sure all the edges are nice and smooth. We grind out glass for three reasons: for safety, so all the pieces fit well together and to create a solid surface for the copper foil to adhere.
Step 3
Copper foiling
Next up is copper foiling. During this step, we add a special tape around our pieces. Not only does it look pretty, it ensures the solder will stick to your piece and hold it all together while soldering.
Step 4
Soldering
Last but not least, it’s time for soldering! During this step, you’ll merge the copper-foiled glass pieces together using solder. Your stained glass creation will transform from separate parts into one piece of art during the last step of the workshop!

FAQ
Do I need any experience to participate in a workshop?
Nope! The workshops introduce you to the stained glass process step by step. You’ll have plenty of time to go through every step at your own pace. We work in small groups, so you can ask any question and get input whenever you need.
All you need is yourself, some curiosity and gute Laune, like they say in Germany.
